About ME!!!!
So who's responsible for
all this nonsense? Well, my name is Christine Smith and I am currently a student
at Duquesne University , located in Pittsburgh,
PA. While I'm here, I will be working on getting a Bachelor of Arts in Latin,
a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics,
and a Bachelor of Science in Education. When I'm not at school, I reside in
Chippewa Twp., PA, which is about thirty-five miles northwest of Pittsburgh.
As for how I managed to
start a webpage, you can read all about it in Communication
Attempts, whenever I get around to writing it down. It's sort of a funny
story, but then again most of them are.

My Interests:
- Edgar Allan Poe
- This is my favorite weird and wacky author. Hopefully
I'll collect some links for everyone, one of these days. Until then, you
are at least aware of my obsession!
- Horses
- These four-legged creatures captured my heart when I was
barely yet able to walk, and I haven't been able to leave them since. Here
at Duquesne I was a member (and secretary) of the newly-created Equestrian
Team, an intercollegiate competition team who is doing quite well for
arriving at Duquesne at the same time I did. Unfortunately, a nasty bout
with tendonitis has taken me out of the horsey scene, at least until after
college sometime. <sniff>
- The Red Masquers
- The oldest student run theatre
group here at Duquesne, which is a group of the best people I would
hope to find. We do non-musical productions and I can usually be found
behind the scenes helping out somewhere.
- Rugburn
- Somehow the name for our Ultimate
Frisbee here at Duquesne seemed appropriate, as we have to do all
our practicing on some awful Astroturf. Every time someone makes a dive,
we feel his pain. We've done all right, considering the 98-99 season was
the team's first. Since then, even though I rarely get time to practice
or participate much, the team has become a name to reckon with!
- Origami
- Say what? The Japanese art of paper folding has held endless
hours of entertainment for me, causing frustration, irritation, various
mental breakdowns, etc. But I keep doing it because it’s so cool when
you can turn a square piece of paper into those complicated creations.
- Mortar
Board
- Since I've gathered so many credits, I was inducted into
this honors society a year early and am very happy about it. It's very
selective and an honor. Yes, they have a webpage.
We do some service projects and work hard on selecting new members for
the following year.
Well, at any rate, those are a few of my interests.
